Lawn Care

Lawn care

We are proud to offer top-notch lawn mowing services to homes across Minnesota. Mowing the lawn is something of a chore to most people, but not us. We view lawn mowing as a blend of art and science, to be practiced to perfection. Every yard is unique, which is why we custom tailor our approach to best meet the specific needs of your lawn. Our unique lawn mowing approach takes into account variables like grass variety, varying mowing patterns, weed proliferation, and ideal cut height.

Did you know that it is best to leave your grass a little on the long side? Mowing your grass too short can result in stress, bald spots, and greater weed proliferation. Cutting your lawn at the right height will also allow it to grow deeper roots which require less watering. This will have positive effects on both the environment, and your wallet.

Our lawn mowing technicians are skilled, independent workers who have deep expertise in lawn mowing and maintenance. They know grass, and will deliver a perfect cut each and every time. They will also trim hedges, fix sprinklers, and edge your lawn. Most importantly, they stand by their work and you will be happy to stand by it too.

Spring Clean Up

Spring clean up is to be completed as soon as weather conditions permit around mid May.
We will power blow or hand rake all areas such as building foundations, landscape beds, around trees and shrubs.
All curb tops and sidewalks will be power blown or swept to remove accumulated dirt or sand from snow removal activities.

Tree Trimming and Shrub Pruning

We price per hour
Trees will be pruned as needed to remove unneeded branches from the base, to reduce hazards, and to remove dead and broken branches up to a height of 8 feet.
Pruning and shaping of all shrubs to remove dead wood and to maintain common shape to the particular species. Shrub replacement will be recommended if the shrub has lost its ornamental value and rejuvenation is not possible.

Weekly Mowing

Weekly mowing consists of mowing at an appropriate height to prevent any scalping or clumping - usually around 3.25 inches depending on the lawn, trimming around all the trees, edging and curb lines, blowing all the grass clippings back into the lawn for a nice clean look. Round Up will be applied to all weeds on the property as needed.

Fall Clean Up

It is very important to clean all the leaves out of the lawn and landscape beds to prevent any disease from occurring and to make it easier to do spring clean up.
Fall clean up is to be completed following the last mowing.
Clean up will include removal of fallen leaves and debris from areas such as landscape beds, near foundations and around obstacles by power blowing, sweeping, vacuuming or hand raking.
Perennial trimming is also available.

Aeration

Spring aeration should be done between March and May. Fall aeration is done in late summer and early fall, usually between August and November.
Aeration before or at the time of late season fertilization can enhance root growth responses and improve Spring green-up and growth.

Dethatching

Use a power rake or vacuum to clean thatch leaves and debris from turf.
